The Digital Catholic Youth Diary - Planner
for the digital age
Introducing the Digital School Diary.
Transforming the Student Diary-Planner for Schools, John Garratt Publishing – a producer of religious publications – is developing a richly formatted on-line diary for secondary schools.
The Digital School Diary-Planner will provide each school with a feature-rich diary for use by administrators, teachers, students and parents that will serve to improve communications, planning and assist the school in its mission.
The Digital Catholic Youth Diary™-Planner brings the school diary into the twenty-first century. It will reduce the use of paper, so is friendly to the environment, and will be cheaper than printed offerings which will help schools manage their budgets.
The Digital School Diary-Planner will be a web-based application, making it accessible from any web-enabled device such as computers, Smart phones, iPads and other tablets enabling school administrators, teachers, students and their parents to access their personal diary from anywhere there is internet access. The system is secure with little or no personal information stored.
Each school will have complete control over their personalised content which will be easily managed ensuring that it is current, updated as required and easily accessible by the whole school community.
Being a standalone, web-based application it will not be dependent on the school’s current information technology.
This means that there is little set up cost. It will operate in the event of a failure to the schools IT system and does not expose sensitive information to external threats.
It is scalable to be suitable for large and small schools alike. Schools can customise by year level, school house or other groupings as required.
